Raw Project Files & Source Code Policy
By default, all paid project deliverables include the final, production-ready output (e.g., live website, deployed application, exported design files in standard formats). The underlying raw project files, editable source files, and source code are the intellectual property of Alpha Branding and are NOT included in the standard project price unless specifically purchased separately.
What is considered a 'Raw Project'?
- Editable design source files (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop .PSD, Illustrator .AI, After Effects .AEP, Premiere Pro .PRPROJ, etc.)
- Full source code repositories (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Next.js, Node.js, backend APIs, database schemas, configuration files)
- Custom-developed components, libraries, plugins, scripts, and proprietary algorithms built specifically for the project
- 3D project files, modeling files (Blender, Cinema 4D), and unrendered animation projects
- Working files for branding assets — logo construction layers, brand guideline source documents, and vector working files
- Database dumps, server configurations, deployment scripts, and CI/CD pipeline configurations
Pricing for Raw Project Files
Raw project files and source code are charged separately based on current market rates and project complexity. The cost typically depends on:
- Project Type & Scope: Larger or more complex projects (e.g., full-stack web apps, multi-page designs, animation suites) carry higher source-file fees.
- Estimated Range: Raw file/source code costs typically range from 30% to 100% of the original project price, calculated as per prevailing market standards in the industry.
- Custom Code & IP: Custom-built proprietary code, algorithms, or unique technical solutions may carry additional licensing fees.
- Usage Rights: Pricing varies based on whether you require single-use rights, full commercial rights, or full ownership transfer with rebranding permissions.
Note: Final pricing is always quoted in writing after we evaluate the specific project's scope and the rights you require. Market rates may be revised periodically.
Terms & Conditions
- Until raw files / source code are purchased, all underlying intellectual property remains the sole property of Alpha Branding.
- The client receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the final delivered output for their stated business purpose only.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, copying, or attempting to extract source files from the delivered output is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
- Once raw files are purchased and delivered, the client receives the agreed rights as per the written agreement (use, modification, redistribution may vary).
- Resale, redistribution, or open-sourcing of purchased raw files to third parties without explicit written consent is not permitted.
- Alpha Branding reserves the right to retain anonymized portfolio rights — meaning we may showcase the work in our portfolio unless a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed separately.
Refund Policy: Payments made for raw project files, source code, or extended licensing are strictly non-refundable once files have been delivered, as the digital intellectual property cannot be 'returned'. Please confirm all requirements before purchase.
